Dubai Police presides over Security Council meeting to prepare for Expo 2020

In accordance with the decision of HH General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Murri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, chaired the Security Council meeting to prepare for the hosting of the International Expo 2020.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Murri welcomed the members of the Security Council, stressing the importance of full readiness and harnessing all possibilities, techniques and artificial intelligence to host the Expo 2020, the global event which was set by the Dubai Police General Command as a priority. And its smart and technical systems to provide the necessary support in everything related to the security and service areas, and follow-up all the working team and its relationship with all security institutions in the State to provide smart services of high quality to all visitors and organizers of participating delegations, Blot.

His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police stressed the importance of working as an integrated team with high professionalism and security to maintain the gains and reputation achieved by the UAE in organizing the best international events in various fields and cooperation and coordination between all parties to make this world event, UAE, which was characterized by securing more than one world event, and were all successful excellence, stressing the need to provide the best security services for participants in this huge event, especially with the expectation of a large number of visitors at the pavilions of the exhibition.

General Tayyar Ahmed Mohammed Bin Thani, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Ports Affairs briefed the audience on the mechanism of facilitating the shipment of goods from ports to and from the headquarters of ESPO 2020.

For his part, Brigadier General Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mualla, Director General of Excellence and Leadership in Dubai Police, Chairman of the Council Secretariat, briefed on the progress of the security sector plans to secure the Expo activities and the stages that were accomplished according to the work plan and timetable.

"The Dubai 2020 Expo is expected to attract more than 25 million visits during the period, and 70 per cent of visitors from outside the UAE will come and this will require a comprehensive development of infrastructure in Dubai Safe and Dubai Smart. To intensify efforts at all levels, especially human cadres and artificial intelligence.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police praised the efforts of members of the Security Council to prepare for the hosting of the Expo 2020 in preparation for this major international event.
